Youth Homes Company History
The mission of Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services is to provide culturally sensitive, comprehensive treatment, specialized education and support services to abused, neglected or at-risk children and youth and their families to establish stability within families and communities. Founded in 1906, Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services has provided care to generations of abused and neglected children of all ages, enabling them to lead meaningful, independent adult lives. This has been accomplished with the generous and dedicated support of the Pacific Southwest, Cal South and Southeast District Optimist Clubs. As one of the largest private non-profit multi-program behavioral health organizations in California, the agency extends care to underprivileged boys and girls of all ethnic backgrounds. The treatment programs at Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services include residential care, independent living, day treatment, foster care, adoption and community based services. Educational needs of youth living on campus, in group homes and with their own families are met through the agency’s non-public high school, where the curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for higher education or the work force. Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services is accredited by The California Alliance of Child and Family Services and The Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services. The agency is also a member of the American Association of Children’s’ Residential Centers (A.A.C.R.C.).Youth Homes ZoomInfo Information
