KOST USA is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a self-motivated, punctual, professional, and organized individual who enjoys detailed work and a fast-paced environment. This position is critical to our operation and is an integral part of the Operations team.

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfers and materials.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
  • Develop mechanical and electromechanical products by studying requirements; researching and testing manufacturing methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for assembling and installation processes.
  • Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming assembly and installation processes.
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
  • Maintain systems and product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of pumping and batching systems.
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques (i.e. lean manufacturing and Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of chemical industry codes and regulations.
  • Ability to manage various projects simultaneously (i.e. timelines, budgeting, vendor management, stakeholder management, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written skills.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient computer skills with solid experience in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D preferred).
  • PLC Programming Skills, KRL (Kuka Robot Language), C++, Ladder Logic.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to heat or cold and risk of electrical shock.
  • The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
