LinkUp Forecast: March JOLTS report by the BLS

LinkUp’s JOLTS forecast for March is 8.68 million open jobs, a very slight downtick from the February JOLTS release. Our predicted 0.9% decrease in job openings is consistent with the flat growth seen in the last two months in our forecasting and BLS releases—openings are steadying as the job market reaches the upper limits of full employment.

Each BLS survey report of monthly job openings and labor turnover is released a full month after-the-fact. Our job data consistently marks a strong correlation to the BLS numbers, with the significant advantage of a month’s lead time to the official release.
